Hello friends,
Thanks for visiting! I hope you will stay around for awhile. My name is Chrissy, I enjoy the simple things of life such as fluffy socks, warm cups of tea, afternoon snacks, and the smell of fresh coffee brewing. I am a lover of all things nature. I recently married the love of my life and together we live in a beautiful home with our cat fur baby, Oreo.
I give each day to my sweet Savior acknowledging that through him I can gather enough strength to get through each day, or rather each second. I strive for perfection but come up short each time. What can I say I am a sinner in desperate need of a merciful Savior. Although I’m saved, I will still stumble. The struggles I have today will more than likely be the struggles I have tomorrow and the next day and so forth. I am a firm believer in grace because without it I wouldn’t be where I am today. I look forward to sharing the love of my Savior which has radically transformed me and continues to transform me daily in the sweetest of ways. Maybe just one thing I say will ignite a small passion in you to look at life differently. The purpose of my writing is not to please an “audience” but rather to please the one who has called me to share. I believe the process of healing occurs when I write.
This blog will expose a cultivated rawness. Authenticity that has longed to be exposed for sometime now. Composed of hurts, stories, adventures, sins, and secrets I hope this blog encourages you to surrender all that you encounter in life to a God who in our time of desperation, despondency, and depression sits on the throne and calls us out by name. We are deliriously adored by the creator of the Universe. Our God cannot be calculated, pre-planned, or predicted. He knows all our pain, sees all of our tears, and is not surprised by our flaws, and yet he still wants me and He still wants you. So lets go on this journey together. I dare you to seek out your identity in Christ, not your identity determined by the cultural barometer. I hope that along this journey you discover the unfathomable love of the Creator of the Universe and know that his Grace reaches in deep, dark waters.
I do not write any of this to say that I have the answers or that I am skilled in servant hood. But instead I write as one who is struggling and stumbling through this thing we called life and by writing I express the highest of gratitude to the Savior who has a transforming love story and who has saved me from the pit.
